Created by a Toronto-based team—Taylor Reynolds, Kaylyn Jung, Kate Wilson, Tyler Olthuizen, Holly Hudson, Kassi Bellamy, David Sutrin, and Adrienna Bailey—the podcast (and accompanying zine) is dedicated to sharing the stories of women in creative industries.

Their aim? To foster an environment of support and mentorship among women, while also helping them learn from each other.

The unknown artist everyone should know about?
Sabrina Scott, she’s a fashion photographer/ art director from Cape Town, South Africa. She shoots primarily on film and her images all feel so natural and fresh.

What’s the one thing you do that makes you feel more productive?
Handwritten to-do lists. Too many tasks give me a serious case of scatterbrain but I instantly gain focus once I’ve created a visual representation of what needs to get done. Plus, nothing beats the feeling of ticking something off as completed.

The work ethic you most admire in others?
Initiative. It’s not just going ahead with a task; it’s foreseeing what needs to be done beyond the scope of the present.

The book you most often recommend? I’m more of a magazine fiend—as they usually double as entertainment and research. My top favs include Kinfolk and Dazed & Confused but I hear Apartmento is great, it’s on my list to check out.

Favourite neighbourhood in your hometown? Du West (aka Dundas West, Toronto).

1. Studio area: a lot of young creatives reside in this neighbourhood, there’s a “vibe” to it that always feels inspiring.

2. Accessibility: there’s a bit of everything and you can easily get to it all by both biking and on foot.

3. Local goods: small businesses rule this strip.
